There is one small problem...

with me voting Green. I do, in fact, agree with a lot of their policies. But as it says below, there is one point we do differ hugely on. I am very, very PRO-hunting.

I shall now sit back and wait for the stream of invective to arrive in my comments box. No doubt the more poisonous comments will all be anonymous. :) lol

No stream of invective here, it's your personal choice. I disagree with you, but that's my prerogative, and yours to disagree right back.

Coo, the Greens really *are* against it though, aren't they? Just went and looked up their policy. Wow.

Difficult one. What do you think of the rest of their policies?

Hi Kris :)
We need a Liberal Green party that really is liberal and green IMO. Do the two things go together successfully I wonder? Or do you have to have heavily coercive laws to persuade people to be green on the whole?

Reading through their manifesto site last night, can't quite decide whether they are barking mad, or the only chance this planet has got, or very possibly, both.

Liberal is *not* a word that I would apply, in fact, although I'm not very up on political theory, it struck me that they are actually socialist, although I could well be wrong.

I don't know about the coercion thing. At the moment ppl are being coerced through education and all sorts of social machinations, but it's all very covert. Does it make it better if it's out there in the open?

Cor blimey, do I have to state a preference? I suppose I'd rather deal with open coercion, then at least you've got something solid to argue with! Then again, if it's covert, you can use covert tactics against it... ooooh... got me thinking now!

If we all agreed on everything then life would be boring! Go ahead and support hunting. I have a cousin who is a farmer, and rescues animals, she is pro hunting. It takes all sorts hun.

Shall we just agree to disagree on this one?

You could still vote Green :-)

Seriously though - the hunting issue was a close run thing... Personally I'm anti-hunting with dogs; but quite happy if someone wants to take a shotgun out with accuracy when they have a real issue to deal with, or if they are hunting for food. But then I'm hardly your average Vegan or your average Green......
